Hi there I have had my ttr more than five years now but have only just joined the forum.  My bike is exactly the same as the purple one on the top left of the homepage although mine is nowhere near as tidy anymore.

One of the reasons for contacting the forum is that I have a 1999 Grey import TTR as previously described and live in the south of England, I am 64 years of age but I’m paying virtually twice what I last paid on the 650 machine for insurance at over £120.  This seems a lot for a relatively low powered bike which is essentially still standard Yamaha.
I’d be very grateful if any of you guys can recommend a more competitive insurance company
My brother and a few friends go green laning in Wales or Devon for a long weekend a couple of times a year and a few day outings more locally. Previously I had a KLX 650 which was good, but heavy, and found it increasingly so as I got older.
many thanks, Steve

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum!

To keep things tidy I have started a new thread for you

For single bike insurance, Bennetts work out quite cheap - especially if you go through a cashback site - but that applies to a lot of insurers.

I always use a comparison site like GoCompare or MoneySupermaket just to get the range of what's out there price wise.

Welcome to the forum

Just about to renew my bikes with bennets, 2 bikes at £200, not sure you will get anything for less than £100 on one bike

I tried go compare and some other internet insurance, but they don't show our ttrs, am I doing something wrong?

Welcome to the forum, Steve.

When you get really old and want to insure your bike then Saga is the place to go.  blankstare  confuse

Before then make sure you enjoy your bike and riding it. biggrin
