So there I was, bike wheeled out from hibernation, started fine, (thanks Optimate) warmed up all ok.

Wheeled back into garage while I decided on my outfitbiggrin

Back into garage, horrorscry Big puddle under engine, gunge from bash plate with a decided petrol stink.

Much dripping from carb. Fuel line had a nice wee hole in it.

Simple fix I hear you all saying.

Did you know fuel tap outlet & carb inlet are different size? Me neither.

8.1mm on tap, 6.7mm on carb, so my spare bits box fuel line of 5mm ID was never go into fit fuel tap. It went on carb no prob.

Anyway, 6mm line bought & fitted with nice shiny jubilees and my slightly postponed 2020 maiden run accomplished.

Off to view our latest 'Rest & Be Thanfull' road (A83) blockage and perhaps do some trails.

Just heat the fuel hose, on the tank side, in a cup of very hot water (microwave works) and it will slide on with less resistance. 

Flick the hose before attaching to remove as much water residue as you can.

Oh it was heated alright, fan heater on to keep garage above zero, pipe positioned to get warm, (like really😉).

I think the original is more plasticky(?) than rubber type fuel line.

It had to be slit with a knife before tank end would come off. Must be very 'stretchable' material.

The stuff I got is fairly heavy wall thickness so squeezed down well with jubilee clips. No probs on test run.

I used a joiner/adaotor  that took both sizes  of hose . Ended up buying a genuine hose I like to keep it genuine.  

Sounds a bit chilly over there.  We have a bit of rain which is nice
