Yesterday one of the forests I ride in where I took the photo above  burnt and is still burning 4000hectares in the day and burnt around 100homes ect last night so all the forests are closed for a while . 

We have had fires for a few months but yesterday it all turned nasty.  My side of town hasn't burnt yet so just watching and waiting should be OK

Thanks  still not sure where the fire is now can't see far becase of the smoke but today's better than yesterday.  Will be a while before I  get back in the forests

Thanks things have settled down a bit unfortunately another lady died nearby last night 

A couple of friends still have houses but the ones to each side are gone.  Still nothing this side of town as yet Just smoke 

The rain would be a nice change if you can send it over .  Fires normaly happen this time of year but Friday was a bit different in that the area burnt in the one day was equal to all the fires last year times 2 in one day still hard to believe. 

Can't do much the forests are still closed and most  of  the main  roads in the area are closed for a while yet. 

Really quiet today without the wster bombers flying around I think they have gone further north where it's still pretty bad 

The ttr is siting in the shed with no jobs to do so it's just sitting for now

Today has been OK  currently cant see outside my yard for smoke.  Tomorrow is supposed to be a bad day might make the news again.  

We have fires but on this level is something new never been seen before 

 Sort of expecting the fire to get here tomorrow but ready for it 

No plan to evacuate the ttr at this stage got  the family and pets packed ready to leave if needed 

 ntoday is a waiting game , expecting later today to be fairly ordinary 

finally go a message from a mate he has his house  , but lost his sheds inducing 9 bikes 2 quads and 2 cars amongst everything else  , his Sherco he rides made it through , and hes still stuck with 2 Hondas lol  

hes still looking forward to getting out on the trails as it will be a lot clearer now , we have one remaining forest that comes up to my house in tact , may go today but it would be nice to have one bit of forest left to ride in soon 

thanks for the reply , my family donated a heap of stuff a the local vets to help out a bit . will do again later in the week 

today's a bit better with all but two local  fires kind of under control as of last night we had 3 million hectares burnt in the lasts few days .( hard to comprehend ) 

looking forward to getting back out on the tracks the last bit of local forest burnt  last night , so no doubt be pretty sooty  but thinned out a lot 

Still no end to the fires each time it looks like things will improve they come back , all still ok here but the forests are still closed , never experienced the forests being closed for more than a couple of days , the TTr is looking bored .

we are still in the smoke its that thick the street lights come on through the day , im driving 400ks for work today relying on headlights to see the oncoming traffic at times .the fire front in NSW is currently at 3000kms  which is much bigger than usual . it looks like the only way it will slow down is some rain .

in the town i live in we have 60 days water left as the river has all but stopped running first time for that as well .

i have a couple of days  off next week might get  a ride in on Wednesday if some of the forests are re opened 

I read a volunteer fire fighter had been arrested for arson. If guilty he wants stringing up. (And four in Brazil. Dammit, half the world's burning    )

Heard on the news this morning that the fires are still burning, crazy, is this the longest? Hope everyone is safe and shame nature is getting a hammering

Went and did 100ks in the not burnt yet forest had a ball so many old tracks have been cleared by the dozers as fire breaks for when it burns.  Very dry and all powder.

Thanks Terry it's a bit hard to explain the pics are spot on for the warmer days .  We have another bad fire day  that's  just about to start. Still can't see whats going on for the smoke  will be dodging the fires again today

The ttr would have been nervous some idiot lit a fire behind my street so have been up since 1am  with the fire trucks ext it's now out and it's time to head to work .

  planning a ride this weekend but sure where but it's going to happen. Must admit the ttr is really clean and serviced

Blue sky today haven't seen that for a while 

Took the Dr out in the unbent stuff yesterday rode five hours.  Took the ttr out in the opposite direction today a bit shorter four hours.  Got to say the ttr is my favorite 

Fingers crossed the fires stay quiet

Spot on its already starting to recover if only it would rain. Just has another fire startup 4kms on the north side of my house last bit left to burn got water bombers flying over as I type this.  Really over theses fires but it's good it's not summer yet 

Will be riding again this weekend though 

I think I prefer our 4C (at 9.46am) Terry. 44C is too hot for me!
