TTR600 Dirt version came out with Ohlins shock and a Paoli? fork by memory. About 40 hp and heavy.

TTR600 - of course - I had forgotten about the "big brother". Not sure where I got the 250 bit unless the original post I saw the photo on has since been edited as it doesn't say 250 disbelief

Love the colour scheme. Be nice to do a TTR250 like that biggrin

Had a 550 and a 600  it isn't clear but you can just see the decompressor cable.  They actually start pretty easy have a built in timing retard for starting

The ttr is still a better bike all round

I remember here in Australia we also had the white with red seat TT250 & my favorite at the time TT350, also had the vented front guard & sidecovers

Love the shape of those tanks.
250 has a wider gear spread and is significantly lighter and better suspended - much better as a trail bike IMO but the 600 I think is slightly more comfortable to sit on for longer periods. (But not much, and then when you've got to the trail head you want the low 1st gear that you've sacrificed for the higher top speed and you wish you'd brought the 250!)

Interestingly, many many years ago I bought a project TTR without forks. The seller had sold them to a TTR600 owner who wanted to upgrade his wink
