Carb leak

hello everyone,

I have a 2004 TTR that I am tinkering around with at the moment that smells of petrol, closer inspection has revealed the carb is getting wet around the diaphragm cover area, the Bike runs and rides fine, anyone else has this issue

loads of us and it is normally the diaphragm that is at fault, though it may be just the rubber O rings if you are very lucky.

Thanks Steve, seems a bit of a weak point that. I am sure I have had one before that did the same thing

Changed the diaphragm and o rings. No more leak. Diaphragm had holes in

Mines doing this I think. Is that a carb out job?

You need to undo 2 small screws at the bottom of the carb. Got a 90 degree screwdriver or tiny ratchet? Also it is very fiddly to line up the springs and o rings to put back together. Removing the carb will be easier in the long run.
Check this thread for extra comments, to save me typing it all again

I'll whip it out, doesn't seem too bad. Cheers all.
