Newly bought first bike!

Hi all, Dan here from Perth, Australia (originally from Kent, UK).

Just got my TTR250 yesterday and it's my first bike other than a few rides of an old DT175 years ago and needed something to keep up with my 5 year old on his PW50 and have a bit of fun on.

Looking to mainly ensure I keep the bike in really good condition as the previous owner was a bit of a fanatic so any advice is greatly recieved.  Once I get some routine maintenance done (just want to check filters, oil, chain etc.) Will get it out and get some pictures up.

Cheers

Woody

Sounds like a plan . Learn to ride slow first best  way to master the basics.

If all the basic servicing is  done once a year or so pull the back suspension linkages out and lube them

Not a lot of work needed on the ttr

And of course welcome good choice of bike and enjoy riding with the young bloke

My little mate is now 21 and borrowes my ttr leaving me at home

Welcome to the site, Woody.

I bet you're  looking forward  to getting out on the TTR.

As Les says, take your time and master the slow and basic riding stuff and you won't go wrong.

Most of all - ENJOY it. biggrin

Hi Dan. I also have blue but I had a lot of work with him. Just like you, after almost 30 years of break, I'm learning to go.
greetings
