Hello chaps, I've looked everywhere here and can't find the link for the helicoil kit for the spark plug thread replacement, can you help please? Thanks chaps.

There are other options to Helicoil but there doesn't appear to be any details of any for a TTR in these pages.

However, if you have a look HERE then you will find many options.

I recently had one of these fitted in a Serow head by a local engineering shop Daves Engine Centre in Redditch (a bit far from Brighton?) They're a bit more sturdy than a helicoil, but not such a DIY fit.
(PS Not necessarily this size, I just did a google of the insert to give you an idea)

helicoils are dated now best option is to use a timesert

I have taped a 12mm plug to 14mm...use a NGK  B series plug instead of a D series..

 Good idea new thread with a bigger contact area would work well 

I use a bit of antisieze on my plug and careful not to over tighten

Cheers chaps, l asked my local bike guys, K.C. motorcycles, Portslade and they directed me to a local chap, Brian! Lovely chap, with a workshop in his garden. He did a lovely job of it. I've now just received all the gaskets etc from Steve and am going to start building it up now. Fingers crossed, Brad
