Hi

My name is Herman, and I bought a 2008 TTR250 from a dealer in Napier about 1 year ago.

My son has finally dot his learners licence now, and I am really enjoying going out with him to explore every gravel road that we can find.

He loves the bike, and I am very impressed with the handling, build, reliability and performance.

Everything is still stock, only changes so far is a rack that I build for the back, to mound a top bow, and some handle guards.

This looks like a great site for all sorts of information, sure we will be seeing some of you on the road.

Thanks, and keep safe

Herman

Welcome to the site, Herman. handshake.gif

Yor son seems to be thankful for the TTR and you're enjoying it also - double whammy. wink

Quite a few riders with TTRs in NZ and Australia so you've plenty to catch up on.

Enjoy it. biggrinbiggrin

Martyn

Hi Herman,

I'm a fellow TTR devotee and live in East Tamaki Heights (Dannemora) Auckland.
My TTR was made in 1999 but wasn't registered until 2002.
The previous Owner is a top Motorcycle "Spannerman" and did a few modifications to it.
Main one being the 263cc conversion (see the FAQ on the Totally TTRs website).
I have done a few other tweeks, that have mainly been bought from the Totally TTRs Shop, which I recommend highly.
My wife and I visited the shop in 2015, when Brian and Trish Sussex owned it and we staggered out of there with a few more bits to bring back to NZ.
We are going back to the UK next year so no doubt we will do something similar.
If you want to meet, or come around to see my TTR, let me know.
My Registration is on hold for the Winter so I get glared at if I take it out on the road. The odd "sneaky ride" still happens though but no Rego = no Insurance.

Cheers
Jeff
