I purchased in February this year .

Bought in April 2016 by the previous owner  and this is his story,

to satisfy a "moped" challenge with the team from work that was settled as off-roading up in the Peaks(actually The Lake District) including riding there and back (I’m in Peterborough). Bought from Terry Rudd Motorcycles although it was a part ex for him so he spent no time on it. I quickly found a few things wrong, and with a panic of the ride I decided also to take on a rebuild. So the clutch was changed, and I did a top end rebuild including the largest oversize Wiseco piston using a different cylinder (which was rebored). Whilst in bits I replaced all of the valves for brand new, cleaned up the ports and matched them to the inlet. I also added a Sigma carb kit and racing filter - American make (I can't remember), not to mention the FMF (which currently has the spark arrester installed). I've also helecoiled one of the oil filter threads, and correctly torqued on rebuild, should imagine this is a common failure.

The starter clutch rattles a little. The left rear indicator bracket broke. The front brakelight switch needs replacing - it's a microswitch so I've discovered it's not the TTR master cylinder but hey it's a great upgrade as the front brake lever feel is solid. I've seen the microswitches on ebay, must be common.( indicators replaced, new micro switch replaced)

Tyres are those awesome Michelin AC10's 80/100-21 but 120/90-18 rear which fits a treat.

Odo says 20k km however with gearing as I received the bike 114kph = 60mph ( I calibrated using GPS). I think I changed the front gearing so this will need re-checking. But, the bike has not done 20k! The gearing is perfect.

Log book says Aug 1997 (it's M reg), (but manufactured 1995)with 8 owners.

It is now clean, minor items sorted.

Brand new MOT.

It has shortened exhaust (new). New Polisport hand guards.

The tank and decals are fine but being piccy the tank does have slight dent.

Unfortunately my ideas of using this bike have been overtaken by moving house and having no garage so this and my BMW F800gs have to go.

I will also be selling some spares when bike sold.

Bike located in Penrith. Viewing available anytime.

Ps sorry but pix are 90 degrees out. ( wonderful Apple) - Rotated and set for viewing. Cubber

But not good enough on either score to receive any enquiries though. Expect it will need the mass audience of eBay and it’s inherent fees and problem buyers.
