Might take it to the classic bike club meet tonight as it's "ride your bike night" and, when we go into our meeting, the bar staff go out into the car park and choose the "nicest" bike.

I think it's pretty enough to stand a chance with the ladies 

that's a nice kawasaki and probably in the best colour too 

The W800 rides nicely and really suits my riding style.

I wanted a modern road bike that wouldn't give me points on my licence or land me in hospital (or worse) coz the bike was too much better than its rider.

I love the retro look and initially thought my only choices would be from the range of Hinckley Triumphs but I spotted the Kawasaki in my mate's collection and fell in in love with the US styling with the high bars and chrome plus the retro look. My old WR250R had EFI and it worked really well - no choke, fuel leaks etc and good mpg - so the EFI on the W800 was another tick in the box.

I don't thrash the bike and it encourages me to ride sensibly. It is easy to get lazy as the engine has great torque. I find myself taking roundabouts in top gear and having to change down to stop pinking on accelerating on exit   In a way, it is very similar to riding the A10 but without the A10's lovely Brit-bike exhaust note!

It's cornering abilities far exceed my bravery! It came with after-market Hagon rear shocks and after stiffening them up for my weight (about 4 stone heavier than my mate!) they work well.
