In manufacture the head casting is line bored with the camshaft caps in place so they are "matched" in that way. There may therefore be small differences in where the caps from from a different head are fitted.
The only way to find out is to fit the caps and, if they look OK, bolt them up on the camshaft and see if they bind. If the difference is small then it is possible to ream them out a tad by using my broomstick handle and emery technique
