What's happened to yours?

In manufacture the head casting is line bored with the camshaft caps in place so they are "matched" in that way. There may therefore be small differences in where the caps from from a different head are fitted.

The only way to find out is to fit the caps and, if they look OK, bolt them up on the camshaft and see if they bind. If the difference is small then it is possible to ream them out a tad by using my broomstick handle and emery technique wink

Good cylinder heads are increasingly difficult to source but good luck in your search.

if they are tight smear with mechanics blue it will show you the tight spots use a stanley knife to shave them off be careful

Nothing.... It;s still on the motor an running like the day it was made...

I want a head to play with the ports....

And the one from steve would end up at about $800NZ.. Other wise I would buy it...
