My 1994 Raid For Sale as I no longer use it.

Not sure about price (advice gratefully received). I want to sell and would rather see it go to a good home than eBay:

Mine since 2009.

VGC mechanically. Everything works (including the digital speedo!) Small oil leak from cylinder base though.

Garaged since last MOT in July 2016.

18,000 + recorded kms. The speedo was broken when bought but I think this is about right based on MOT history.

Its been trail ridden. Cosmetically the photos are quite flattering.

Located near Portsmouth.

Good looking TTR Chris!  Loving the gold rims biggrin

If someone buys it that doesn't do their own spannering then replacing the cylinder base gasket would cost them quite a bit so you would need to reflect that in your asking price.

Have a look through the For Sale sub-forum here and completed listings on eBay to see what sort of money Raids make but, bear in mind the oil leak.

That is a very tasty coloured Raid. But doesnt have the sought after oil cooler or rear rack

As long as the paint on that tank is in good condition, this is a very nice bike.

Prefer the gold rims to purples...

To clarify the oil leak, its just a bit of misting around the cylinder base. Nothing requiring immediate attention or stopping it being used.

I can provide a good home for it!..it would be amongst friends (raid friends) ...why are Raids always in portsmouth!...3rd one ive bought from that area!

A bit more info:

FMF end can (£350 new,  no option when the old one disintegrated a couple of days before I was leaving the UK).

Tank is pretty good. No leaks, a couple of tiny marks and one 20p sized rusty patch.

Recent chain/sprockets.

Stainless front brake hose.

Good Conti TKC80 tyres.

Difficult to judge prices from eBay as so much depends on condition but I think without the oil leak it would make around £1000. As it stands I think £700 is about right. Might haggle a BIT around the MOT.
