Hi all, I thought you might like a couple of pics of my wife’s ttr... pearl. Just finished a rebuild in preperation for a trip to Russia, leaving in 3 weeks. I’m pretty pleased how this turned out but it now owes me the National debt!!! The only snag is a rack. If anyone has anything kicking about in the garage shout out!

Very nice looking bike! What will you be riding at the same time? Any information about the trip?:)

Beautiful resto Phil - well done biggrin

The frame came up well. Powder coat or paint?

Good luck with the trip and hope you source a rack wink

Cheers guys. It’s nice bringing a bike back from the dead. As many of you will know the cost far outweighs the value of the bike but it’s a bike my wife really loves. The frame is powder coated, you can’t tell in the pictures but it’s a metallic purple and looks great in the flesh. As well as the frame and swinging arm coated we did the hubs and rims along with the shock spring before it went off to Gibbs for a rebuild. The top end was rebuilt, forks serviced, new clutch, carb rebuilt, exhaust repaired, fitted renthals, all the cables replaced, new battery, tyres, chain & sprokets, heated grips, replaced nuts and bolts, all bearings replaced, fitted DRL’s, and some other stuff I’ve probably forgotten!

A friend is taking the bikes to Bulgaria and we’re riding from there to Serbia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine then into Russia. The bulk of the trip will be spent exploring the Caucasus, Abkhazia, Chechnya, Dagestan, North & South Ossetia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia then heading back via Turkey! To say I’m excited is an understatement!
