Yes, 660. Bought it new in 2012, got about 6000 miles on the clock now. It is tall and heavy and can catch you off balance and camber easily. I only ride it on the road. TTR 250 is heavy enough for me to pick up and ride on the trails.
Love the look of the 660s! My cousin and her boyfriend have them, always fancied taking them for a blast! 6000 miles is so low, it must feel neglected!
Oh and Claewen Dam is the fastest place I have ridden off Tarmac and the Strata is just down the road, I am going back this year some time. If that is your local playground, you are a lucky fella.
My other Yam is a bag of crap... '96 XJ600n hack bike.
Looks a fair bit worse than the picture (taken after I'd got it sorted for MOT straight after buying it) Now it looks like it should be sticking out of some builders skip.
I do enjoy the Claewen trail on a big bike, usually done quite slowly with 220kg bike. But I've blasted along sections of Sarn Helen and sections of the Roman Road near Trecastle @ 45mph indicated. - float like a butterfly, crash like a Rhino.
The TRF said it was legal, the local authorities said it wasn't.
TRF said we can prove it is historically legal and no act or order has been placed on the 'road' for change that fact.
A court date was set and the TRF shat themselves and backed down.
Therefore IF you are a paid up TRF member and plod wants to attempt prosecution the TRF will not back you.
That's why in 2016 Sarn Helen was an option for the Taffy Dakar, and in 2017 it wasn't. The Lower section is still under a Seasonal TRO and the top section from just north of Ystradfellte for about a mile is still a BOAT as far as I know.
The Roman Road from Trecastle to LLandovery is still a BOAT and a fun fast one.
