Hi guys, do solenoid a from any other models of bike fit a ttr raid? I'm on a limited budget and altho' Steve has them in his shop £50 is a bit rich at the mo' thanks guys.

I recently bought one from Torsten (Ridelimousin) for £20. Worth as ask to see if he has more left.

Beware the Chinese spares, they can fuse together and cause the starter to stick on.

Solenoids are fairly universal though, so one of another bike may work

 And the only way to stop it is to disconnect the battery! 

I had a very unhappy customer where this happened to him in a fuel station. My supplier wouldn't warrantee electrical items so I had to take the hit on a couple.

When I took a faulty one apart and saw what had happened I stopped stocking the copy solenoids and only sold original Yamaha ones - and Steve is doing the same now.

Cheers guys, I'll avoid Chinese ones, it appears I've trod on the toes of another wobbly, tho I am a wobbley not a wobbly, should I change my name or is there enough room for the same but differentconfuse
