Wet clay

5 minutes into my ride I made the mistake of trying to ride between an atv's mud ruts.

Slid into a foot (30.48 cm) deep rut of wet muddy clay.

Took about 45 mins to get out.

My bash plate has saved me on a lot of large logs.

The only issue I have with it is it loves to trap mud which makes me worry about overheating.

ahh reminds me of a time i went to Queensland and effectively sunk my bike almost to the handle bars in white super sticky thick clay didnt even know it was there until i was not moving sitting upright on my bike took and hour to get it out then i had to turn around on a super thin single track to ride back to camp, So another hour to work the bike through it(bike wouldn't even move if i sat on it) then another hour to ride home all the while the wind hardened the clay i was wearing so i was stiff as a brick wall when i got home couldn't get off the bike myself, Man i wish i had a photo of my bike or better yet a helm cam was such a blast even after all the work. id ride the same track in a heartbeat thoughbiggrin

Yeah i agree the bash plate saves the engine alot but the mud it traps can be worry sometimes but thats the trade off isnt it?
