Just back from a fortnight swanning around la belle France in the car with my brother-in-law Keith following (sometimes) on his Ducati Monster Did over 2,000 miles in a fortnight (able to put the top down for quite a lot of the time) and saw a lot of the country. Rural France is pretty much empty so we often had the roads to ourselves. Weather wasn't bad neither
Spent a couple of nights in Torsten's very smart new gite with Rowena providing lovely full English breakfasts for us which made a refreshing change from croissants and pain au chocolat! See http://ridelimousin.com/
This is our Mustang with Keith and his Ducati in the foreground. Photo taken along the Tarn Gorge - and what a fantastic place that is! Just east of the Millau Bridge.
Thanks for the kind review Brian, was great to see you again and your other half / brother in law/ dog/ new car!
For anyone interested, at our trail riding facility in France we now have a holiday cottage for rental by the week where Brian was staying, ideal for trail riding holidays if you like to go self catering!
Looking nice, Brian and welcome back to the land of the living.
Like you, I've been away but for longer.
Liz and I have spent 29 nights going from Southampton to Le Harvre, New York, Boston, Massachusetts, Sydney - Nova Scotia, Quebec, Saguenay, Gaspe, Halifax then NY and return to Southampton.
We went on Cunard's QM2.
Unfortunately I didn't get any offers to drive bikes or cars but I took LOTS of photographs. (over 300)
As it's been said, though, it's so much nicer to be back home.
My computer packed up after my return and this is now being sent from my NEW laptop.
I may post one or two of my pictures when I've sorted them out.
