Some pics from Friday's ride

I finally had a chance to try the TTR for a day trip.  My mate on his TTR planned the route.

We covered +/-230kms for the day.  Some tar, but about 70% gravel and real jeep tracks.  Overall consumption was 21kms/l.  This included 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear technical for long sections.

A basic route plan could have been:  See interesting path - follow it.

Wicked ruts bro!

Hard to escape those gum trees, I first thought you were in Australia. Or San Diego. That's near Capetown?

You don't see many Gum trees in Cape Town, but the north has many. A legacy of the age of leather and Imperial Colonialism. ;) Cape Town is over run with Port Jacksons though. They were brought in to stabilize the sand dunes. Stains riding gear quite a bit though.

Already planning another ride. Most of the trip was stealth riding in restricted areas.
