Yamaha TTR250 Top End Replacement - "How to" video

I just found this excellent video!

The only criticisms I have are that (a) he forgot to put the solenoid earth strap on the rear starter motor bolt before fitting the oil line etc. and (b) forcing the carb in like that isn't good as it is quite likely to separate the rubber from the aluminium stub on the inlet manifold - especially on older bikes - much better to spend a few more minutes and take off the airbox.

All the parts and gaskets needed are available from Steve at Totally TTRs - see totallyttrs.com

Good find, Brian.

I must say that I'd prefer to adopt your way of carburettor replacement - his method looked a tad brutal. bleh

Intricate, fiddly job well illustrated.

Thank you, very handy video as I am about to do the topend on my '03. Can someone supply tightening torques for cylinder and head please as I don't have a manual. Thanks again. Cheers Rob - Australia
