I used a cheap air compressor, purchased from TK Maxx for £8.99, branded "Street Wise" with a apparent max psi output of 250psi (dont believe it..) Can add pics...
Took the fork seal clip out, wrapped the fork in a plastic liner to stop the mess and then hooked the air compressor up to the valve at the top, switched it on and waited.
After a couple of minutes the seals popped out. Worked perfectly on both shocks and will be the method i use in the future...

I thought there was another way to strip the forks- so all components were accessible??.
