Forks for a 2005 model
Permalink

I've bent the right side fork a little in a fall on a trip to Portugal last year and I've looking for a replacement stanchion. Does anyone have a single fork/set of forks for sale? I imagine the fork stanchions from an older model would also fit?

Bad luck cry

What length is your stanchion?

I have a pair of forks off a Raid. I know the internals are slightly different, but the stanchions may be the same length?

The diameter will be the same and a quick look at part numbers seems to indicate the stanchion is the same on the Raid as on the OE models: p/n 4GY-23110-00

But, to be sure, it would be good to check the length.

They are all about 705mm long - or at least the ones I have are wink

I had another look at the stanchions and they are slightly different at the bottom. It could be just the ones I have but do check.

Just started taking apart the forks I bought to replace the bent one with. It is quite clearly different from the ones on my blue 2005. I'm sure the ones I have are Raid ones, I'll sell them on (will put a post up in a bit.)

So I'm looking for a set of forks for a blue 2005 TTR. You can tell they are the right ones because they have ribbed detailing near the top of the stanchions. I only really need stanchions that are straight and only really need 1, but I'll buy a set if that's all that I can find. With my track record I'm bound to bend another one in the future.

If anyone has forks for sale, please let me know. I should've bought the ones you had in the shop back then when I first started looking for some, Steve :)
