hi just finished putting the carb back on my ttr 250 open enduro had a few problems before hand with what seemed to just be blocking up, so I've pulled the bowl off and given a good clean with carb cleaner and now it's back on it wants to idle really high on choke and then run for a little bit when the chokes pushed in then stall.... Any ideas about what could be wrong. when I cleaned it I didnt play around with any of the jets either . Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks pat

The usual suspect that would give your TTR these symptoms is a blocked or partially blocked pilot jet. Very common on TTRs that have been stood for a while.

Normal carb cleaner struggles to clean them thoroughly so the recommendation is to ream them with a bit of copper wire - or something that is softer than the brass!
