I am playing about with some aftermarket stuff and got in some complete clutch and front brake.
Now original Yamaha parts would be £52.50 for the Brake Holder and lever Master front Brake cylinder and lever £135.50
Total = A Massive £188
Now the ones I have arrived today and I just finished fitting them to the bike.
Now these came complete like this, even with the switches, though the switch cables are not quite long enough and would need grafting or extending onto the original connectors.
The levers themselves are very nice, a bit shorter than standard and a bit longer than the shorty ones I do. They sit very nice in the handguards.
The quality of the clutch holder is not as good as the original, a bit thinner material and annoyingly it does not come fully apart and you have to remove the grip to fit it
I also had to fit a nyloc nut, as I did nut trust the normal one. Once fitted it felt very good.
Annoyingly the fault on these was the stop is in the wrong place, but once tightened on, I don't think it will move and if it does slightly the dowty washers are more forgiving.
The feel of the brake is incredible, now I know the front brake can be an issue for some, but this feels like you are pulling against rock, there is NO sponginess, full stop! Never felt anything like it, Now I can do stoppies (small ones) on my bike, but with these fitted I reckon it will buck me over the bars if I pull it like normal.
I will be out Saturday testing them on a full days ride and will report back soon. I hope they work in the field Ok as I would be able to do them for less than a third of Mr Yamahas
