As this was my very first Totally TTRs rebuild and, as I had Brian to guide me through the process, I was determined to make sure everything that needed doing, would be done.
So a quick recap to what was done:
Full strip down
Powder coat the Frame metallic blue, just like the original
Engine work - New piston, re-bore barrel, Crankshaft replaced, oil pump replaced.
New clutch plates and pressure plate, new clutch springs and metal plates replaced.
Valves lapped in, ports cleaned, shims checked for clearances and replaced.
New cam chain.
Carb work - Clean up, new Diaphragm and seals fitted and new carb bowel gasket fitted.
Starter motor, new brush set fitted.
New top shock Bearing kit fitted.
Complete bearing replacement all round, swing arm / wheels / linkeage, the only ones I did not do was the headstock, but they were checked and re-greased.
Brand new plastics all round, new headlight, new tank decals and new Brush guards.
Seat recovered with Gripper black seat.
Full loom check and clean up.
New front sprocket and good rear sprocket, set up for green laning, very good chain fitted.
New rear Mudflap.
Very good MT43's fitted with rim locks.
New battery.
New brake pads Front and Back.
Trick bits fitted to this bike
Motad full stainless steel exhaust, Stainless steel shorty header. These combined with the first oversize piston, really gives this bike the grin factor And you will never have a rusty exhaust again!
Wide stainless steel footpegs, they feel so nice.
New Bash plate.
New frame guards.
Tail tidy, with new number plate light.
BAD Points NONE- This really feels like a brand new bike!I Have run the bike in for 201 miles, nice and slow, I will change the filter and replace the oil with fresh, for the new owner.
I will be sad to let it go, as it is so nice to ride, but the finance department (wife) are making sure that I do! And I have become quite attached to my bike I bought from Brian ( another totallyttrs rebuild).
A totallyttrs bike is a thing of beauty that's for sure and I learnt from the master!

Congratulations to the new owners - they have bought a cracking bike and one well suited to a bit of overlanding as Lois Pryce and others will confirm.
I hope you have pointed them in the direction of this forum Steve and will encourage them to update us on how they build the TTR for its intended purpose and, more importantly, post up some pics and updates of the actual adventures
Good deal, possibly broken the ceiling price for the best TTR. Its great to see the value of this respected, knowing the effort and parts put into the bike to bring it up to such a high standard, that having see in the flesh can only be described as superb.
I thing the apprentice can now be seen as fully qualified...
Just a quick update on this Fantastic bike. I have just fitted Heidenau K60 scouts front and rear in anticipation of a trip to Croatia in Sept, Acrebis 22L tank will be next. Would like to use Kriega luggage but its pricey, that's WIP at the moment. The bike is beautifully smooth to ride, still being a bit careful with the revs as its running in, my partner Jo is so pleased with it. Will post Photo's when I fit the new Tank.
