Totally TTRs now under new enthusiastic and somewhat more youthful management!

After many happy years developing and running Totally TTRs it has finally outgrown us and the time has come for us to pass on the reins so that we can retire properly. We are very pleased to introduce Steve and Lisa Attfield as our successors. Younger, and more energetic models of ourselves with keen enthusiasm, Steve & Lisa have a lot of business experience between them and Steve is a long time TTR fan so you can be sure Totally TTRs will continue in very capable hands.

We signed contracts today but will run the business until Steve and Lisa can take it over properly at the beginning of June. We will be working closely together in the meantime so that the handover will appear as seamless to our customers as possible.  Steve has recently bought a TTR “doer upper” and I will be working with him to do a full restoration on it and, by the end, he will know every nut and bolt. He is a very capable apprentice!

I will be continuing to provide technical advice and support through the forum and to Steve for as long as it is needed.

Trish & I have really enjoyed dealing with TTR owners from across the globe and from the most unexpected places in the world, like Togo, the Island of Eau and Western Samoa! I am not sure why the TTR attracts such nice owners but it does and we both will miss the interaction with you all, from the serious overland adventurers to the guys who just love to get out there for the pure joy of it.

I am looking forward to getting out more on my own TTRs! I am leading a group on the Saturday with my Brother Trev, at the upcoming Devon TRF Group’s prestigious Axe-to-Exe trail riding weekend on 16th & 17th April and Steve will be leading a group on the Sunday so there is a chance there to meet and say hello to him.

I will continue to run the TTR250 forum which, thanks to such active and interested members, is a Forum we can be proud of. According to other bike riders the support for the TTR250 is next to none!

Thank you for all your support and custom over the years and we hope it will continue in the same vein with Steve and Lisa.

Brian & Trish biggrin

PS As if you couldn't guess Steve and Lisa are the good looking ones on the left of the photo below wink

Good luck with the business Pete, TTR's are a surprising niche market that very few of the Bigger companies support.

When you look at catalogs TTR's are rarely represented

Brian's done a great job of supplying stuff that no one else could be bothered doing.

I'm currently converting my TTR into a proper Dual Sport machine for longer trips

I was going to sell it and get a DR650 but just can't bring myself to parting with it

With a few mods and upgrades it'll keep up and beat those pesky DR's and KTM's no problems

Cheers

BMSteve

Hi all fellow TTR owners and forum members.

Thanks for all the kind comments so far.smilesmilesmile

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Brian and Trish in giving my wife and I this fantastic opportunity of taking over Totally TTRs.

I have been a TTR fan for a few years now and have been very lucky to have formed a friendship, with Brian and Trish.

They have showed me many thing’s TTR and I have come to love the brand and them!

I would like to think my wife (Lisa) and I (Steve) will be able to carry on this great product.

We have lots of ideas about the e shop and how we could add our own flair. We are not trying to change all the good work that has been set out before us, but would like to build on this and add a little extra.

It is a shame that Brian and Trish are retiring, as you all have built up a very strong bond, but be rest assured they will be floating around in the background, helping out Lisa and I in techie matters and such like.

I hope that we can all work together and make sure the TTR is going to stay a much loved bike, with a great support e shop!

I truly love the TTR and have a great passion for this little bike, it astonishes me how capable this bike really is and I love it!smile

We are really looking forward to keeping the Totally TTRs brand going.

Steve and Lisa.

Steve and Lisa, I can't think of anyone better to take over than yourselves. Best of luck to you, though I'm sure you won't need it.
Look forward to see you all again soon. Mark
Ps. Give me a shout if you need a hand at any time.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys! blush.gif

I had a lovely email from a customer about my retirement and I just had to share this paragraph coz it made Trish and I laugh biggrinbiggrin

"I’m picturing a Devonian hermits shack at the top of a steep and gnarly hill climb where only the deeply penitent, true believers, the pure of heart and really low tyres pressures might gain access to the holy of holies and be granted an audience with the benevolent Guru, Saint Sussex. Blessed be his 17mm Riders Wrench. Amen."

Congrats everyone; Steve and Lisa on an exciting new adventure and Trish and Brian on having more time to enjoy retirement.

Although a little further afield to me than its current abode, it's nice that Devon will remain the spiritual home of all things TTR!

Good luck all!

You haven't gone and purchased a Honda or something have you? Totally XR's?

Thank you guys blush.gif

Steve is already getting stuck in so we are sure you won't notice anything but improvements in the service!

We are continuing to provide the service until the beginning of June when we will need to shut the shop for a few days so that we can transfer the stock and update the computer systems. Otherwise it's business as normal at the moment.

Brian & Trish

The time is getting near for Steve and Lisa to take over the eShop and for Brian and Trish to wander off into the sunset!

It is going to take a couple of days at least for swapping over the systems and physically moving the stock so we think the timetable is looking like this:

Tuesday 7th June - Brian and Trish shut the Shop for orders after 1pm. That gives them time to deal with any orders that come in on that day and get them posted. They also need to tidy up all the sales administration and emails and identify any outstanding issues that Steve and Lisa will need to follow up.

Wednesday 8th to Friday 9th June - shop remains closed so that a stock take can be taken before it is moved to its new home. Systems will be set up at Steve and Lisa's base and stock put on shelves. If all goes to plan then the Shop may re-open on Friday with Steve and Lisa at the controls!

I hope that gives everyone time to look ahead and get any parts ordered that they might need for the weekend of 10th and 11th June.

We are hoping all our lovely customers bear with us and let us know quickly of any problems that arise after the re-opening.

Steve and Lisa's contact details will be on the re-opened Shop and the emails will remain as sales@totallyttrs.com and sales@totallywrs.com.

Fingers crossed for a smooth transition!

Brian, Trish, Steve and Lisa

Leisurely lunching - I wish Pete!

I still have a 325 to build for Boz plus I never finished refurbing my own 325 properly as I had to rush to put it together for the A2E plus I still have a myriad of used TTR spares that I need to clean up and persuade Steve to sell for me wink

Brian

PS Plus Trish keeps talking about me tidying up the garden and tackle a back list of DIY projects no
