My carb slide sticks up when you let the throttle out slowly my carb was out yesterday and I tightened the retention screws and it worked for a lil but it's back how it was

Have you ever used carb cleaner to clean the slide? There have been reports that carb cleaner eats the coating on the slide and removes it, resulting in sticking slides...
