My OE headlight got broke so i changed it, managed to get a Raid headlight bracket and fit a generic round headlamp, i think i want to go back to a more enduro type headlight, but seems getting one with a good light out put is near impossible, what do you lot use?

My current setup

To be honest Garry I think the Raid headlight looks really good - plus it lights the road wink

Have a look here for some of the alternatives  http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t48039852/headlights-surrounds-types-bulbs-etc/

On my current project bike I've done this with a standard Open Enduro shroud:

www.ttr250.activeboard.com/t61815609/open-enduro-headlight-options/

Good beam pattern and bright with H4 bulb if you're up to wiring in some relays. It's deeper than the original OE candle holder though and with all the extra wiring I needed to make 1" spacer brackets. If you can get a 35w H4 bulb, the relays are not necessary.

On my 325 I have a UFO shroud with a Baja Designs lamp unit which is the same size as a blue ttr headlight, (so would fit in a blue shroud) but cheaper (even with shipping) and again has an excellent beam pattern. Again, I'm using H4 bulb and relays:

www.ttr250.activeboard.com/t52562744/baja-designs-headlamp-unit/

I'm not convinced by many of the "enduro" off the shelf options, and even many factory lights seem pretty poor, which is why there are so many bikes out there with led light bars (I'm not counting the GS's here - I'm sure beamer headlights are good and the extra lights are just for rufty tufty posing

Good luck with your search,

Simon.

The Aus headlight is great, I don't understand why they didn't put them in all TTR's? 55/60w as standard.

I have bought a blue model light with a glass lens, when it turns up i will modify it to run a 55/60w bulb along with some relays to have a nice usable factory looking light.

Wonder if the Aus wiring loom is different or whether I'm being over cautious with the relays? At least I'm getting more power from the bulbs running at full voltage.
