New from Tx, my first offroad bike

Hey guys/gals just got a new to me TTR 250- 05.

I come from street bikes so this is all new to me, but wow is this thing fun. I traded my last bike for the Yammi due to the low mileage 2350mls and it looks brand new no leaks no issues nothing, I am the second owner and plan on stacking miles on it. I use it as a daily commuter with about a 30 mile round trip to work n back with about 16mls on a stretch of road that requires 65mph n it seems to handle it pretty good. Have yet to put her on the trails yet as all that dirt riding is a bit intimidating but its definitely coming. Anyway heres a pic of her, I just ordered a new set of vinyls and a seat cover to dress her up.

this HTML class. Value is [URL=http://s76.phot

Welcome to the forum Shawn!

The TTR looks like a keeper biggrin

You maybe need to think about fitting a lowering link or winding the rear shock spring off wink

Brian

PS The forum didn't like the link in your first post and treated it as spam but I think I got it all together now!

Yeah she's a bit tall, though I'm only 5'9. I come from sport bikes that are much heavier and ALOT shorter. I dont really have a problem handling her but I'm sure I look funny at the stop lights lol

Welcome Shawn!
Tidy bike, congratulations.
As you don't appear to be carrying any spare weight, you could probably wind off the rear spring preload a bit which might reduce the leg stretch a bit.
Cheers,
Simon.

Welcome to the fold Shawn, bike looks like it has spent very little time off road

unlike mine which seems to have been all off road

The pic won't show it but it's covered in scratches / marks / tears but it's reliable wink

nice pannier/rack system you have there

have to think about making one of those
