Hi All can someone help me understand the wiring diagram my high beam isn't working. my bike is a 2004 uk model so the lights are wired permanently on (no on off switch) the diagram shows a switch with a single wire to a single double filament bulb  my bike has a small side light bulb and a double filament (high/ low beam) bulb. ok her's where I'm getting confused cos nowhere does it show a high/low switch or separate high/low wires confuse. somebody please help .

All ican think of is you have the wrong wiring diagram posibly a us one or similar

there is a feed wire to the hi low switch then it switches fron one wire to the other going to the head light bulb

if you have one beam working have a good look at the bulb you could have a broken filiment

i have a diagram ext but just heading to work scan onl offer a suggestion at the moment

keep it simple feed wire to switch then eighter high or low wire through bulb to earth

a 12v test light would be handy if you have one

Thanks I think mine is a US diagram from the downloaded manual. I know the bulb is good ( tested on a battery) so I recon it must be a bad wire or connector some where it would be useful to know the wiring colour scheme.

Yellow, green and black (earth) wires go to UK headlights and a separate blue and black wire to the sidelight or parking bulb.

The feed wire for both dip and main from the loom to the switch is red/yellow. That's the one I cut into to fit an on/off switch for just the headlight leaving everything else working.

I haven't come across a wiring diagram for the UK TTRs so if anyone else has one, please share biggrin

Brian
