Hi guys

 

Just got myself a TTR, has a staintune, snorkel taken off airbox, header pipe restrictor has been chopped off, is there any other ways i can make it quicker for cheap, i just want that extra umph

Welcome to the forum James!

First thing to do is check that what you have at the moment is good i.e. air filter clean and properly oiled, correct spark plug fitted and that it is clean and properly gapped (check the colour whilst it's out), valve clearances, it has clean oil and filter (doesn't make it go better but lasts longer!).

Some hints and tips to "uncorking" here but, as Pete suggests, more ceecees is the way to go for more power.

Cheers heaps guys, just wanted that extra umph, done all the oil and plugs, not sure if valve clearsnces are easy or not, ill have a squiz at the link

Depending on WHERE you want the "umph", gearing is another thing you might look at. Not always cheap though.

Looks like you already have a large ish sprocket on the back. Thats already giving you more 'oomphy' acceleration eh.
