hi peeps I am currently using a valvoline 10w40 4t fully in my 1993 tt250r but anyone tell me if would be better to use a 10w40 semi(shell) or just stick with what i got

To be honest, either will work fine as long as they are motorcycle oils so they will work properly with a wet clutch.

As a personal preference, I use semi-synth as it has just that bit more "body" for an air cooled donk wink

The key is not so much which oil you use but how often you change it biggrin

I change my oil every two - three months depending how I use it

You don't find you have any clutch slippage with using fully synth then?

I change mine probably every say 6-8 ride outs on the green lanes ish. When I feel the gear changes getting a bit clunkier.

That clears that up for people then. Very few bikes do suffer with slippage off of particular oils. This topic has been a popular one.

I use Motul 5100 in all my bikes..
you can find it rebranded as Yamalube
at your Yamaha dealer...
But is cheaper under the Motul name...
