Some huge price increases by Yamaha!

Oh dear - I should pay more attention when ordering genuine Yamaha parts - I just tend to re-order without checking unit prices as they rarely change - just had a shock  disbelief

The price of seats has risen by 70% and carb inlet stubs by a mahoosive 138% confuse

I took it up with my supplier as I thought mistakes had been made and was told that the prices were indeed correct and that Yamaha had introduced price increases from 16th January - and sorry.....

Because of the wide range of parts we stock, we can't afford to keep more than a couple of each part in stock so we have been immediately hit by the increase cry

I wish I had know - could have stocked up a bit!

Brian

Their website is still up confuse

If they have sadly gone to the wall, maybe look out for the auction as the Yamaha parts would be a worthwhile investment it seems!

Whoops - my calculation was faulty disbelief

Apparently, to calculate the percentage increase: First: work out the difference (increase) between the two numbers you are comparing. Then: divide the increase by the original number and multiply the answer by 100.

This gives 70% and 138% - still massive though!

I will go back and correct my figures.....

Brian you were nearly right
138 % increase is the same as 238% of the original price.....
