I'm looking into running a proper headlight, 35w wont cut it for me, so will the electrical system run a 55w bulb in a 7" or 8" headlight?

I have a brand new light from my old Honda CB500 that i can use.

like so?

I found the info i needed, read the standard stator can run a 100w bulb, so a 7" round glass headlight and 55w bulb will be fine, i will either buy one with a protection bar round it or fab one up that i can mount the indicators, light on/off switch and usb charger to.

i dont have the bike yet, but my mate should have it ready for me in 5 ish weeks, so i will post an update when it good to go.

The TTR stator chucks out a goodly amount of amps wink

An alternative to a bigger headlight is to fit auxiliary spots.

You can mount aux stuff off the indicator bracket or clamp to fork leg. Or bolt with washers into the plastic standard headlight surround, you just have to play around with it.
The spot ones you can tilt up and down handy if extra weight on bike.
Some people who don't ride for hours on end just use a bicycle led spot.
