Hello, 

Yesterday the rear shock collapsed whilst riding (on road) and has sheared, does anyone know where I can get one from as the Yamaha garage where I get the bike serviced couldn't order one?

Are second hand ones a good idea?

Is there any other manufacturer that would fit onto my TTR 250 Raid?

Wow - that was bad luck!

As far as I know you can no longer buy new rear shocks from Yamaha.

No reason not to buy a used one in the circumstances. Bear in mind that the shock from the Open Enduro and blue model TTRs will also fit your Raid.

Hello I have a raid shock for sale, It will probably need a service I don't know the history on it as its off a bike I bought for spares the top bearing had no play in it and the chrome looks in good nick.
