Got out and about today as was nice and mild and not raining.

Bloody good ride was a lot of deep sticky clay mud about which made sliding about in it fun.

My bike decided to cut out everytime I entered water, water was getting in under the HT cap, and my mates chain snapped on a jungley clay mud hillclimb type lane near Corscombe and got tightly wound round the gearbox sprocket! All in all a pretty eventful day!

Did a fun tight overgrown lane at Marnhull plus others, we did the fun technical ones as usual

I have attached some photeys

It was great to get out yeah I have been so bored, I was defo knackered when I got in!

Yes he brought a spare chain, lucky cos it was twisted all to hell! I took the pics first and only then helped him get the old one off! It was tricky doing it in that deep sticky mud.

It was quite wet and soggy yeah!

Looked a bit extreme Pete!

A bit unusual, but very lucky, a rider carrying a whole spare chain confuse

Yeah come on down sometime Andy. There are some interesting rights of way around here.

He has an acerbis rear mudguard bag he keeps a spare chain in amongst other things, a 428 serow chain does not actually take up that much room, no need for a press either as it was a NON o ring.
I must confess at the moment I am only carrying a spare split link and pliers.
The chain was twisted so I reckon a rock probably smacked the chain against the swingarm and it let go at the split link.
The serow does not have a case saver nor does it look like there is enough room for one, although the casing didn't look damaged in any way.

Guessing my ht cap must be missing of its rubber or something, will look into it, its defo why it was cutting out cos when I lifted it off and replaced it the bike started and would stay running again..
