riding bike dies and now starter clutch dosent engage

hi, had a bit of a problem with my ttr today, only the second time i have ridden it after a hour of getting out the garage as evryone i share with parked  like a a**h**e, the guy i  brought the bike from  had been using  it evryday so i wasnt suprised it had a flat battry after a week, not a problem i thought so unfolded the kick starter and went to kick start it and the kick start snapped clean off (GREAT) so i used jump start pack and got it going. i rode it for about a mile and half and then it just dies as if it had ran out of fuel (there was fuel in it done 70 miles since last fill up, but i put the bike on the reseve fuel tap option  and  tried to start it but the starter was turning but the engine isnt cranking over so any advice will be amazing

thanks in advance

liam

Oh dear - what a calamity! bleh

I would advise recharging the battery - even taking it off and cleaning all the connections would be a good beginning. wink

Put the battery a trickle charge using a decent 12 volt battery charger.

If the battery isn't jiggered then it ought to acquire enough grunt to turn the engine smartly.

The battery must supply the sparks as well as cranking the engine.

God luck.

If its just the kick start lever that's broke I think someone put an alternative that can be used on here not long back.

The shaft that comes out the engine is snapped but now it's broken you can see where it has previously been welded
