Went to start her up and the starter jammed !!! . Couldn't switch it off - battery got really hot so I would think that is knackered.
I wired up another battery and there is nothing on the starter -Solenoid - knackered ? Checked the 15 amp fues and that is ok.
I think that I have a Trx one that should/could do the job.
The splines on the end of the starter have had it, it looks like a replacement one to me. I've done a search on here and found that there are a couple of options.
The starter jamming could well of fried the relay. You might be able to use a trx starter if has same size pinion gear etc, change the body over with the ttr one so mounts are the same..

Pain in the neck, lovely weather around here i was looking forward to going out.
Fazer looks the same, I found the idea while searhing on here. Might strip the sprag clutch out while i've got it apart - hopefully it will be good.
I will have a word with my son in law and get him to check the starter circuit for me, he is a vechile tech. I'm not too bad with electrics but it doesn't come easy if you know what I mean.
Yeah get hold of a Fazer one if you want to be sure it is correct size etc. People on here have also used starter motors off CBF250 & CBX250 Twister & YP250 Majesty scooter too.
