Welcome to TTR land, Fergus.

Your image was upside down but is now showing OK, I hope

I'm lead to believe that trailing is, unfortunately, not easy north of the border. no

Hi Cubber, thanks for the reply. I came across this bike by accident really, had an XJ600 and wanted something for last winter, as in a light, easy to manoeuvre bike. Well one thing lead to another, had to quickly come up to speed with this bike and found Brian when I needed a new exhaust. I always wanted a trail bike ever since I was 15 and looking at getting a DT 175 back in the day. As too using it off road up here, it's down to land owner I think, if you can get permission your ok, but so much is forestry commission land here, it's something I am going to look into.

 Keith's profile says North East.

The North East he refers to is England's North East - areas like Durham, Tyne & Wear, Sunderland.

Irvine is in Scotland - hardly "Much further south" than that, unless there's another Irvine? confuse

Keith meant to put north east Scotland. Think he is from Macduff.

Irvine is 220 miles south of Macduff by road, 4hrs 15 mins away. Martyn's missing his Singin' Hinnys..

I just love clockwork people to wind up. biggrin

I must admit, though, that I was surprised when I first read Keith's location was NE Scotland - I originally thought he was a Geordie lad. confuse

Very good guys, but no prize for geography lol. Irvine is about 30 miles south of Glasgow on the West Coast of Scotland, on the seaside. 😆
