Took the bike out for a potter around yesterday and enjoyed the sunshine.
Ended up heading out of Plymouth via Tamerton and down to Lopwell Damn to cross over there, but the tide was to high at the time. Ended up going around the road way to Bere Ferris via a few light lanes and then did the beach road run. Popped into Bere Alston for a pasty and a drink and then came back again with more on the beach road before heading down to Lopwell from the other side where the tide had dropped enough to cross.
Lots of people were there enjoying the day and I took it easy over the crossing before making a prized bellend of myself coming a cropper once I got out of the water on the slippery road. Lost the front end and went over the bars landing gracefully for all to see in the slimy mud. Broke my brake lever (not enough to stop and replace it) but no other damage apart from a bruised leg and ego!
I have broken two brake levers so far and one was just tumbling into a soft hedge. This time the guard just span on the bar so I just need to tighten it all up.
