An interesting package that might appeal to someone who wants access to Memory Map and to use a Road Angel but doesn't want to go through the connectivity pains that some new users seem to experience.
The package includes a mint Toshiba Satellite Pro L40 laptop and a Road Angel 7000 both loaded with Memory Map V5. They are set up to "talk" to each other without you having to do anything more!
For those who like their screen to "track up", I have bought a licence for Ozi Explorer and could load that on to the RA instead of Memory Map.
The laptop has the Devon 1:25k and full UK 1:50k Memory Map OS mapping loaded and the latest Devon TRF lanes overlays can also be installed if the purchaser is a bona fide TRF member.
I have also installed Google Earth which will give you a satellite view of the countryside and lanes linked to the DTRFG lanes overlay.
All you need for your route planning, map printing and tracklog review!
All the hard set-up work has been done for you with this bundle so just take it away and use it
PM me and you could be using this fantastic bundle of kit very soon
£150 collected from Exton, Nr Exeter.
NB The price includes familarisation and training when you collect the kit plus follow up support. This is the most important part of the deal for those unfamiliar with the technical shenanigans of the wizardry involved

Road Angel 7000
Works fine and, unusually for an RA, has over 2 hours battery life. However, for trail riding you would need to have a power source on your bike so that you don't get left stranded with a dead RA mid ride!
A previous owner had soldered wires onto the rear contacts which I removed - not a tidy job as you will see from the photo below. I have only ever used the USB port on the side for data transfer and charging so it never bothered me.
For those who like their screen to "track up", I have bought a licence for Ozi Explorer and could load that on to the RA instead of Memory Map.
The RA will come with a mains charger and USB data cable to connect it to your PC or laptop - as shown in the photo above.
The RA still has its original stylus and its genuine Road Angel SD card.
The unit will also have a fast 2Gb SD card loaded with either:
(a) 1:25k OS Memory Map compatible mapping for the whole of Devon plus 1:50k OS mapping of the SW Counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset. If you would like mapping for another part of the UK just say and I will load it as well (if room on the card) or instead of some mapping on the card that you don't need. I can load the version of Memory Map to suit that on your PC/laptop - they won't talk to each other if different versions are installed.
(b) 1:25k Ozi comaptible mapping for Devon plus 1:50k mapping for the South West.
The benefits of using Ozi Explorer rather than Memory Map on the Road Angel include:
1. Much simpler route and tracklog transfer between the Road Angel and your PC/laptop than with Memory Map. The transfer programme will be supplied for you to install on your PC/laptop and I have created an online tutorial which leads you through the process of transferring routes and tracklogs - if you need it.
2. Ozi Explorer has the all-important "Track Up" functionality whereas Memory Map can only display "North Up".
3. The OS mapping is displayed more clearly on Ozi Explorer.
The unit also has the Road Angel voice direction SatNav system (although the mapping is a bit dated now) and Safety Camera Alerts installed that allow you to navigate to your destination using a Post Code etc. with a choice of male or female voice - or none at all
