Hi Keith and welcome to the forum. Not ever done a supermoto myself but there are owners on here (Sam is one) who have done it or are working on a supermoto project and hopefully they can answer any questions.

See here and here

Good luck!

Brian

in going to have to sort a starting and idle issue first as when it's cold it's a nightmare to start and keep running unless I jump on and ride straight away but cuts out at junctions then if I adjust idle screw it just goes mad and idles pretty high or just does it confuses me got a receipt with the bike for a complete carb rebuild kit 170 in parts ouch.

Blocked pilot jet?

The TTR carbs are dead simple. Not much to go wrong. 90% of all slow running problems are down to a blocked or partially blocked pilot jet.

Well took my carb of stripped it checked everything and cleaned it all and it is running better still not quite right changed oil filter and plug made it better drain a heap of water from airbox and the little breather but I still can't for the life of me get it to run on idle. Also is it a pre 99 yz 250 rear sprocket that fits as I have a 2006 one and it defenetaly doesn't fit.
