That tailpipe has more rust than the Titanic. There one in Australia $60 says was only on bike for 2000km. Id grab it but postage is prob too much.

If you drop that on the floor it would be like dropping a black china plate! Awful!

Ha funny how he says that he tried to price it according to the wear and tear on it! And that he doesn't accept returns! Bet he works at the local dump and picked it up there! smile

I could take a dump and it'd be worth more.

You were right Locky - it didn't sell and is back on again at £50 or offers confuse

See here

I have a few here at TTR Towers in similar (but unpainted) condition. £5 each plus carriage anyone!!!!!!

In all seriousness, it is usually only the front bit of pipe that rusts out. It sits behind the panel and the TTR gets put away with it still wet and/or with wet mud sitting on the top of it so no small wonder it rusts!

My advice is never to put the TTR away wet if it can be helped. Always start it up and run it for a while after washing. Preferably take it for a run (perhaps to top up with petrol) to dry it out - especially the chain.

I then let mine cool and spray it all over with whatever version of WD40 I have in the spray bottle.

I did think about getting some repair sections made up which would replace the whole of the front pipe section as replacement exhausts are expensive, even second-hand. But haven't got around to it. Not least because I don't know who to ask for a quote confuse

Brian

There's normally a exhaust repair business in most towns, we have one in Worcester that will make link pipes and repair sections up. Have a search around your local area Brian.
