we have had a bit of rain so attempted to get the ttr muddy today in the coopernook state forest a few minutes ride north of home a loop of 140 ks with a bit of mud to kick it off but by the time I was heading back it was back to dust . a nice autumn day 26 deg c and got to  take in the views of the manning valley a fair bit of storm damage in the form of fallen trees and some washed out gullies over all a bit of all sorts of conditions a great way to fill in a 5hours mid week , I've attracted a few pics I didn't stop much due to an over abundance of Mosquitos that wanted to make a meal of me , now just got to decide if I wash the bike or take it out again in the morning as the missus has given ride passes for the remaining 5 days of my holidays before returning to work I've got a keeper biggrin , IMAG2036.jpgIMAG2037.jpgIMAG2038.jpgIMAG2041.jpgIMAG2042.jpgIMAG2047.jpgIMAG2050.jpgIMAG2049.jpgIMAG2047.jpg

Looking like lovey country I'm thinking it will green up a wee bit more after a splash of rain. one of the things you see in Devon hear is just how green it is when you have been in dryer parts of the world. just out of interest is it real remote there?? what's your back up plan if things go tits up do phones work?? I have been to remote parts and overland in Africa but two of us so back up is with you. it just makes me shudder after my brake down last week an I was only half mile from a road with a phone with no signal.

we are about three and a half hours north of Sydney most of my riding these days is with in 200ks of the coast , today I was solo and had good phone coverage I sent a text message to a couple of locals I ride with so they had an idea of where I was riding , I tend to ride with one or two others when I get into the more remote stuff   eg three to six hours away from help .

a must here is to pay for ambulance cover its really cheap but if all goes bad I can be winched out by helicopter at no cost .

It is realy a nice part of the word and the ttr is perfect for the job . I do carry the usual cable ties , puncher repair stuff and a few nuts bolts and the metal repair stuff you kneed and plug holes with .I put a lot of time into maintance  and have only used my tools on other bikes .

hope this answers a few questions .

That's the sort of thing it's one of them use to it sort of things we just cant get that remote hear in the UK. I had a brake down it was a dead short worked over the hole bike on the spot all the plastic's off wire's pulled an pushed used up the 4 spare fuse's I had then had to push bike half a mile mostly down hill to hit the black stuff and walk half mile up hill to get out on the phone for help. [ I now carry 10 spare fuse's] we hear are on a packed little island I think it just knocked me a little on what can happen when out on your solo.

Keep the photos of the runs coming it's nice to see parts of the world
