bought a set of Michelin Ac10 tyres which i got fitted last week. Only because other forum members have said they suit the bike. pretty big change from the Kenda k761 dual sport tyre which i had front and rear.
On the way to the bush it was pouring rain and i felt confident still going around 80km/h. The state forest i ride in is next to the coast so i had found decent traction over different terrains like mud, rocks, clay, dirt, sand.
After what i have done so far i can definitely recommend these if you dont do so much road riding. They have been wearing alright
went through some creek crossings before this photo so it came out pretty clean
I have used AC10 front and rear for a while now. Off road they are great, but I don't like the feel from the rear especially when riding on the road. Very noisy as well and wear rate of the rear riding on the road was very high. I have kept the AC10 front and fitted a Conti Twinduro TKC80 4.00 on the rear. I believe these have a 60/40 off road bias. I have to do a fair bit of road riding to get to any green lanes here in Sussex. Road manners vastly improved.
I find the AC10 cheap but bad for mud and specially stones. The best tires are probably the Pirelli Scorpion MX and MX Extra. They are good even when they are very worn.
Yes, you can puncture easily with them, specially if you use a low preasure. But with a 1/1.2 bar, at this motorcycle, you will get a good traction at all terrains. However, I use them loaded with a anti-puncture product. If my tire is punctured, just I need load with more air the tire and run over 2km, the punctured will be sealed.
I have one of these. ;)

Don't know why michelin staggered the side nobs on the rear but not the front...
fronts just slip slip sliding away... but the rear hooks up real well..
1 out of 2 an't bad... 50% win rate...
