Peak District, England - who knows? confuse

But according to Wikipedia:-

Highest village in Britain

At 463 metres (1,519 ft) above sea level, Flash claims to be the highest village in Britain.
In 2007 the claim was upheld by the BBC, which settled a dispute with its rival claimant, Wanlockhead in Dumfries and Galloway. The Ordnance Survey measured the highest house in each village and Flash was higher, though the results were disputed by residents of the Scottish village.
More recently the claim has been disputed by the residents of Nenthead in Cumbria. There is however no doubt that the Methodist Chapel is the highest in Britain; the certainty is helped by the scarcity of Methodist Chapels in the Southern Uplands.

In other words, it is disputed therefore it's not actually proved to be highest.

Being an adopted Geordie I prefer to let Nenthead be the highest, but then I'm biased. wink

Gee I thought England was higher than that, I live on the edge of the Adelaide hills & we are 182mts above sea level, that video I posted a week ago through the burnt area is 500mts above sea level.  Would love to ride those green lanes but we don't really have them here in SA...BTW you can keep the mud

Looks like you picked the right day, it's snowing a bit here [m29] and seems to be heading down south Mancunia. Don't think it's sticky stuff, just the cold stuff   smile

That small river crossing is between Tenterhill and Booth Farm, just north west of Hollinsclough. I did a number of those lanes, including that one, last Sunday. Maybe see you out and about one day!
