As the frame on the OE is in a poor state I have decided to tear the bike apart once the salt etc has gone from the roads, I can then use the Tuono daily. I am thinking of doing the frame gloss black and maybe the same with the swing arm also. The main concern I have are the nuts/studs which hold the header pipe on as they are in a poor state, lots of wd40 will be needed I think. Will post before and after photos when I go ahead with the project.
Nice, i shall look forward to seeing the photos, maybe the swingarm will get chipped perhaps if you paint it?? I know powdercoating is quite durable...A nice bit of heat to tricky steadfast bolts usually works doesnt it. Wd40/gt85 never penetrates as deep as they say.
Thanks Locky, I haven't seen too many of the older bikes with a black frame though. Mine my bike won't be off road much pete, after having a low speed off in the snow recently I realise my back won't be up to off roading so swing arm should be OK
