First Photo of my new bike!!!

First Ride of it today and first ever trail ride,  around the High Peak in Derbyshire with my mate Martin on his Suzuki DR 350

First Tumble on it and First tumble that I have ever had where no damage was caused to the bike...

But more amazing than any of that, No bollocking when I got home after 4 hours, when I said as I left 'Only gonna be about an hour love'

Top fun was had, but need some proper gear as my knee is hurting :)

It's bound to get better, Baggers. aww

It's exhilarating when everything gells and you do things automatically that once were difficult - it all comes with time and patience. biggrin

It even gets better when the steep descents don't present the jitterbugs they used to and the ruts are not as tedious as they were. bleh

Keep at it - you have a wonderful territory (Derbyshire) to explore; but be quick - it's disappearing slowly and gradually. hmmevileye

I think every rider's first off-road experience is a surprise. So different to road riding and requires a whole different set of skills in terms of balance, deciding the best "line", appropriate speed for the conditions, etc. plus using a whole new set of muscles! Glad you enjoyed it wink

I never fail to be surprised at the punishment these bikes can take whether throwing it down the road at 40mph or a rocky lane at 5mph confuse

Looking forward to the next instalment of Baggers goes trail riding" biggrin

Brian
