You'd need to register the forum with Tapatalk Brian.
I'm unsure if it's free. Could be worth it as most folk use their phones these days.
Tapatalk is very good, I use it on 7 forums during the day.

I think I have found the answer Martyn and it doesn't seem possible as Tapatalk doesn't support Active board/Sparklit forums cry

Q: Which forum system does it currently support?
We support all the most popular platforms such as:phpBB3vBulletinxenForoIPBoardSimple Machine,MyBBbbPressKunena , Vanilla and Drupal . In addition to these platforms we are fully integrated with free forum hosting services like ProBoards, Yuku.com, Lefora.com, Forumatic, and FreeForum.org. Tapatalk may also work on other forum systems not listed here with plugins developed by third party developers using the Tapatalk API.

I also found a few discussion boards where Tapatalk's incompatability was mentioned.

Doesn't bother me because I have no mobile phone that has the capability. no

My pigeons work admirably, however.  biggrinwinkbiggrinsmilebiggrin

Iv'e just had a look too. I thought there could have been a plugin to make it compatible but couldn't find anything. Shame as it's a great way of reading the forums on a smartphone.

Just found this response from Sparklit (Activeboard) Tech Support on another Activeboard forum:

Hi,

Tapatalk is a way of off-loading mobile support on your forum to a 3rd party (while the content itself is still hosted on the forum and fully in your control).

We do not currently offer Tapatalk, but definitely plan to explore adding support for it in the future. (You are not the first to inquire either.)

There is no reason to encourage or discourage its use, as ultimately the content would all still be part of your forum. smile.gif

Let me know if you have any questions!

Cheers,

Jeff

I was hoping to get a view from Tapatalk but, despite registering and activating my registration, it won't let me log on to their support page to ask the question evileye

Not impressed no

Brian

Thanks for investigating Brian.
My own investigations found that response from sparklit. Not to worry. I brought it up because I find the font a little hard to read in chrome on my Galaxy S4 . There is definitely no chance of posting from my mobile.

Got an answer from Sparklit Support. It's not going to happen - sorry guys cry

From: Sparklit Support - Jacquie

 Hi brian,

Tapatalk is a way of off-loading mobile support on your forum to a 3rd party (while the content itself is still hosted on the forum and fully in your control).

To bring you the best product, AdButler's code is made in-house, and to maintain this level of quality and support, our plug-ins are made in-house as well. We've assessed Tapatalk's system, and at this time we feel that it isn't the right fit for our forum.

 Thank you for your inquiry.

 Cheers,

 Jacquie
