matching header with staintune

I picked up my 2007 TTR250  a couple of days ago. It came with a Staintune with no baffle and not  fitted to the bike. The PO found it to be too loud and no noticeable gain in power output. So , Im thinking about fitting the just TTRs shorty header, staintune and baffle. Does anybody here have that combo or similar

i have the short header with a GYTR pipe...
don't think it gives any more top end but I
think it did give a little more bottom as well
as letting the motor rev quicker...

you WILL need to rejet....

I've got a staintune on mine does increase performance just went up one size on the pilot jet and opened up the airbox .

However it is a bit loud but just legal some days I consider outing the original back on but like the extra poke .

Did go up a size on the main only made it a bit doughy and used a lot more fuel changed back and alls good

G'day Max and welcome to the forum, your profile says your in Sydney, the picks you posted look suspiciously like the Blue Mountains

If your nearby, maybe we could organise a ride out, now the weathers getting cooler, I normally avoid summer riding unless it's a cool day.

When I got my TTR it came with the staintune and it was horrible, loud, ran awful, fortunately the bike came with a near new stock exhaust

put that on and it just purred straight away, the extra performance you get, if any, is overshadowed by the noise I think, spoils a nice ride out

I also have a B&B bash plate that is scraped and gouged by rocks, I also have the B&B frame guards

Here's one of the best engine mods, open up the "Air Filter Box" and fit a "Twin Air Filter" and rejet the carb

Next best thing is to get some better gearing, I'm running 13/52 gearing which is fantastic in the bush and a comfortable cruising speed of 80kph on the road

Im up Hornsby way. The pics are from north of there near the Hawkesbury. A TTR ride out day sounds good.
