Hi, apologies for not joining many years ago but this partly due to my shy nature and partly because of how good the the TTR250 is!

To explain, I have never had any real problems that I needed help resolving, have never felt I could offer anything else constructive that someone had not already said and never really needed to locate any parts etc.  The TTR is so simple, reliable and good fun that I thought I had better keep it secret.

Anyway the time has come where I do hope to get something from the forum, so here I am.  Sorry.

I have posted a wanted ad for a mint TTR250 and a for sale ad for my commuter TTR250 all in one on the for sale thread.

If anyone knows of a mint TTR250 for sale in their local shop I would appreciate a steer in the direction.

Bit about me as a biker.

Gave up on really fast bikes a few years ago but still love all bikes and in particular 70's Jap stuff.

I have several old XS400's and 250's including the one I passed my test on, my original FSIE (non-runner) from my youth  an X7, an SRX250 (80's bike) that I am restoring, a Ybr125 for fun and an MT07 for sunny summer days.  So just another long in the tooth biker reliving his youth, the only difference being I am not a born-again, I have always been a biker.

Good to meet you all.

Richard

Welcome (at last) Richard.

You say you are a new joiner - I need some new windows and doors fitting in my house - can you give me a quote? biggrin

Good luck on sourcing a young TTR minter for under £2k and good luck on getting what you want for your bike.

Patience is a virtue, 'tis said.

Let's hope you get sorted soon - you may even fancy one of TTfan's creations - they're very good.

Martyn

Hi Richard and welcome to the forum biggrin

Quite a collection of bikes you have there and lucky to still have your FS1E - nice bit of nostalgia!

Cheers for the welcome guys.

I wish I had carpentry skills, I struggle to hang a picture straight.

I don't want to pay less than 2k for a minter, I said that any for sale at less than 2k wouldn't be good enough.  It looks like I may still be way off as I was thinking 2250-2750 but one has just popped up for 3.5k.  A contractor that does work for us has just bought a 2014 pre-registered CRF250 off a dealer for less than that!
